What are you READING, watching, writing 10-28-11

Janis Susan May a.k.a. Janis Patterson is sharing her crazy story about how she juggled revisions for four books at Killer Chicks today. It’s enough to make your head spin!

READING — Kurt Voneegut’s “Unpublished Short Stories WHILE MORTALS SLEEP”. The moronic title irritates me every time I pick up the book. Obviously if they’re in a book they’re not “unpublished”. I wonder what marketing genius decided that saying “PREVIOUSLY unpublished” would be a bad idea.

WATCHING — I have a strange affection for FLASHPOINT so I’m thrilled ION TV is now airing new episodes.

WRITING — Plugging away at my WIP. Very lucky to have rec’d some great feedback from a couple of crit partners.

LISTENING — My inner angtsty tween is listening to Demi Lovato’s SKYSCRAPER. (And I’m happy to report I haven’t heard Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch once this week. Don’t you dare go posting a link to them again Ms. Jennifer Hillier!)

EATING — I love cider season.

What did YOU enjoy this week? Any plans for Halloween?

  1. Janis’s story was amazing. I’m so glad the Killer Chicks invited her over to share her story. =o)

Reading: The Viper by Monica McCarty. I don’t read a ton of historical, but whenever Monica has a new release I have to gobble it up. She totally rocks hot Highlanders.

Writing: Still plugging away at my UF. Up to 54K as of last night.

Listening: I picked up a greatest hits CD by Better Than Ezra this week. I wasn’t 100% sure I even liked them, but it was cheap and I wanted new music. I can’t believe I forgot how much I love their songs.

Eating: Peanut butter Butterfingers cookies. Whoever created these is an evil genius. And a diet killer.

Hey, you forgot Watching. Or were you not watching anything this week? I’ve been caught up in the scary marathons all over TV. How many times can they show Final Destination in one month – and how many times am I going to watch it? LOL

I’m not doing anything for Halloween this year. Well, except put the light-up pumpkin in the window. I don’t need the lure of all that candy in the house. We don’t get that many kids and I end up eating it myself.

B.E. — Glad you liked the Killer Chicks post. One of those “be careful what you wish for” stories.

Love it when a “must buy” author has a new release.

Ack! Sorry, must have erased my Watching section. I’ve fixed it. Thank you for pointing it out!

  3. Who, me? What’d I do? *bats eyelashes innocently*

Reading: Nothing, too tired this week.

Watching: AMERICAN HORROR STORY. I really love this show, though I can’t imagine how they’ll keep it going if it gets picked up for a second season.

Listening: Foster the People’s “Pumped Up Kicks” has been my earworm for the past two weeks.

Writing: Book two is pretty much done! Just tweaking a little more – hope to have into the editor by Monday morning.

Eating: Nothing of note. I’ll probably be pigging out in Toronto next week, so trying to eat clean for now.

    Have a great weekend! 🙂
