Accountability — How’s YOUR week going?

Mine is…eh.

Not too much is going well. Not too much is going badly. It’s just one of those weeks where it feels like every aspect of my life is slogging through quicksand.

My writing is going…but s-l-o-w-l-y. My marathon training has practically been derailed by the heat wave that makes me break into a sweat every time I even think about going outside. Basically I feel like I’m stuck in a hold pattern this week.

Still, I thought it was imporatant to report in to you and be accountable. Speaking of accountability, you might enjoy this post by Candace Haven on that very subject.   1. Summer in general makes me feel like I’m in a holding pattern. I feel like a slacker admitting it, but my goal until September is just not to obsess over writing too much. I started the year off with a bang, so now I’m trying to take a break and clear my head before I tackle a new project.

  2. I’m sort of ‘eh’ right now, too. I made myself sit down and retype a chapter last night. Still haven’t tackled the total rewrite of chapter 6, though. I totally hear you about the heat. Who wants to exercise in this? Bleh. I did manage to get a walk yesterday, followed by a half hour of dance/exercise (wherein Daughter and I make fools of ourselves in the comfort of the living room).

    Thanks for the accountability. Your posts are kinda making me stick to something for a change. =o)

  4. Glad to know that I’m not the only one in “slow mode”. I can’t even blame it on the heat because it’s chilly where I am.

    I haven’t worked out at all this week, so it’s a fail for me on the physical health side of things. But the revisions are coming along – I’m 10k in now, not doing too badly. So yay for that.
