What are you reading, watching, etc? 7-15-11

Hope everyone is making progress on their projects this week!

READING — Everything I’ve read this week hasn’t been published yet — (yes, this means I AM caught up on my critting!)

WATCHING — Who’s going to see the last Harry Potter movie this week?? I’m not…but will eventually.

Oh, and I’m superduper pleased that Olyphant, Goggins, and Martindale got their soooooo deserved Emmy nominations! My money is on Margo taking home the statue!!

LISTENING – An endless loop of Coldplay’s EVERY TEARDROP IS A WATERFALL.

WRITING — Yay! I finished the proposal that was KILLING me and sent it off to my agent. Now I’m actually…writing a book!!

EATING — Made a new chickpea salad. Tasted part of it last night. Hoping it’s awesome at lunch today.

What were you up to this week?

So excited about the Emmy nods too! Well deserved.

READING – Silence of the Lambs. I saw the movie, never read the book. In the name of all that’s dark, WOW! Loving.

WATCHING – New series – WILFRED. It’s had some profound moments, but they all come at the end of the episode, so I think it’s got some growing to do. Also, TORCHWOOD. Jack Harkness = yummy.

LISTENING – old stuff keeps popping up on Pandora. Louis Armstrong, Billy Holiday, etc.

WRITING – still slogging through current wip and it just keeps getting more complicated.

EATING – healthy. Another 2 lbs down this week! Woo hoo! Oh, we did discover 5 Guys Burgers & Fries. All food made without trans fats and the fries are done in peanut oil. So, so delicious and not terribly fattening (well compared to Burger King and McDee’s).

Joann — Manhunter is a really good book too (if memory serves)

You are doing an AWESOME job with your weight loss. Thanks for the inspiration!

p.s. YES ON HARRY POTTER. I’m a HUGE fan.

  3. Reading: Just finished Kathryn Stockett’s THE HELP, which I loved. Now finishing Jeffery Deaver’s CARTE BLANCHE. I started it on the Kindle but am finishing it in hardcover (Steve got a copy signed last week).

Watching: Hoping to see Harry Potter next week, if the craziness dies down. Big big fan. Netflixed SIX FEET UNDER. I’ve never seen it, but it’s been recommended me so many times I finally broke down. Hope I like it.

    Listening: Nothing this week, really.

    Writing: Nada.

Eating: A healthy version of fried rice (I don’t actually fry it). I make it whenever I got stuff in the fridge to use up. Would love to try 5 Guys burgers because of the rave reviews, but I’m allergic to peanut oil! 😦

Writing–working on my YA dystopian and my YA Thriller

Melanie — Woohoo! You’re doing great on that weight loss. Keep up the good work!

I’m so impressed that you’re working on a dystopian AND a thriller at the same time!

  5. Reading – The Throne of Fire by Rick Riordan (it feeds my need for MG)
Watching – At the moment, The British Open, but I’m really loving Master Chef
Listening – One Republic’s first album is in the car CD player this week
    Writing – Still re-writing. It’ll be a long process.
Eating – I just finished a mixed berry shortcake thing – black, red, blue and straw with sugar over 1/2 a cream cheese muffin with ice cream and whipped cream. (The last was sugar free, so that makes it a diet dessert. Right?)
