Reading, Watching, Etc 3-18-11

READING — I read a non-fiction book that I bought because of the author’s name. It was truly awful. Enough said.

WATCHING — JUSTIFIED – OMG Best Chase Scene EVER!  😉

LISTENING — Birds! They’re ba-ack and the won’t shut up, which means my parrot won’t shut up, which means I’ve started blurting out, “Shut up!” at random intervals.

EATING — Black licorice jelly beans!

What about you, what nuggets of pleasure did you enjoy this week?

  1. I just finished reading Late Eclipses by Seanan McGuire (awesome book) and I haven’t started anything new yet. I’m watching the new A&E series: Breakout Kings (also awesome). And I’m enjoying my new Starbucks Via instant coffee thingies (caffeinated heaven). =o)

Reading – The Ice Limit by two of my fav authors – Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. I LOVE their archeological thrillers.

Watching – JUSTIFIED is on the DVR, so now I’m looking forward to the best chase scene ever! COMMUNITY was fantastic last night (as usual).

Listening – STORM by Lighthouse a lot. LOVE.

EATING – minty fresh mentos. Yum!

  3. Reading BLOODLINE by Kate Carey, which is fun. I love me a vampire book.

Watching Firefly, which is GREAT! Wild West, with horses and cattle and gunfights, in space. I love it.

Listening to a lot of the Black Eyed Peas – their music has a good beat, so I use them for my daily cardio routine.

    Eating grilled cheese – YUM!

Ishta — I’m a FIREFLY fan too! Such a shame it only lasted one season. 😦

  5. Reading: THE BOOK THIEF by Markus Zusak. I’ve heard so many amazing things about this book… but have to admit I’m having a hard time getting into it.

Watching: The series finale of BIG LOVE. Not happy with how it all wrapped up.

Listening: It’s been a Lady Gaga kind of week.

Eating: Had a lovely dinner out with Steve last night – melted brie, apricots, grapes and walnuts wrapped in pastry, beef bourguinion, and chicken marsala. Chocolate caramel tart for dessert. And we brought home salted caramels for a snack tonight!
