Reading, Watching, Listening 1-28-10

READING — Just started EVERYWHERE THAT MARY WENT by Lisa Scottoline, which someone was kind enough to loan to me.

WATCHING — I don’t know why I watch CASTLE. Most weeks it pisses me off. While this week’s episode was fine on its own, it annoys me that it was heavy duty drama and next week it’ll be back to being a frothy caper. Either style works for me, but this pinballing btwn the two gives me whiplash. If you watch it, what do you think of it?

LISTENING — I’m STILL listening to ROOM by Emma Donaghue. Not loving the second half as much the first, but it’s still good.

EATING — I’ve had a request for brisket, and really, who am I to resist the excuse for turning on the oven and letting it bake for hours, on these frigid days?

What’s entertaining your brain and your tastebuds this week?

Don’t forget there’s still time to win a free download of Angela Henry’s romantic suspense novel THE PARIS SECRET! Just head over to Killer Chicks ang comment on the Angela Henry interview.

  1. READING – I just finished SHADOW FEVER by karen Marie Moning – couldn’t put it down! Next I’m starting TERMINAL FREEZE by Lincoln Child

WATCHING – I agree with you about CASTLE. This week’s episode was really good. If only they could keep that momentum. The same with BONES. They had a good thing going, but they went for comedy too often and most of the time the show is a farce.

    LISTENING – Dueling snowblowers.

EATING – we took my daughter to PF Chang’s yesterday for a birthday lunch – now I don’t have to eat for a week.

Ah, the melodic sounds of dueling snowblowers…returning for an encore engagement this week….
