Just Do It — NaNoWriMo 2010 — Day 1

It’s time to dive into you 50,000 words in 30 Days challenge!

When I was training for a half marathon last year, I found inspiration in a t-shirt. On the front it said,

Dead Last Finish beats Did Not Finish, which greatly trumps Did Not Start

on the other side it said, Have the Courage to Start

That’s all you have to do…just have the courage to start.

Every day.

For thirty days.

Every day this month I’ll be posting tips and tricks, rants and raves, writing exercises and pep talks, in the hopes of helping you conquer this challenge.

I’m doing this right along with you, so please understand that if it takes me a while to reply to your responses it’s because, like you,  I’m busy writing.

I’ll be updating my word count on Mondays over at Killer Chicks and of course I can be found at the official NaNoWriMo site under JB_Lynn (don’t forget the underscore).

I hope you’ll stop back regularly and share your progress, celebrations, frustrations and journey!

    That’s an awesome T-shirt.

Really excited for you for taking this on! I just KNOW you’re going to make it.

…..love the T-shirt too! I had one ( still do somewhere…from years ago, first marathon) CAFEPRESS.COM

my check in is 3 miles in 32:47.
5,280 steps in a mile =15,840 words( that be an impossible word count for a day or especially for 32:47 minutes, although…I probably talk that much–somedays 😉
