The story itself moves flawlessly from scene to scene, and builds plenty of back story so people (such as myself) who have not had the pleasure of reading the first novel can still easily understand where the characters are coming from.
because I worked REALLY hard to make this a good sequel AND a good stand-alone novel. Guess I pulled it off since Donna, at Girl Who Reads, who DID read the first book, said she’ll be naming Further to her best of 2012 list. Yay!
